Growth continues in Cape Coral, Florida. It is estimated that we have 163,127 residents at the present time. Our median age is currently about 44 years old & the median income is estimated at $51,344.
Cape Coral is an excellent community to move into & start a new business. The city of Cape Coral works with residents to assist them with business planning. In fact, the city of Cape Coral has a Small Business Development Center located at the City Centrum Business Park.
Many new commercial developments are underway. On the northeast corner of Pine Island Road & Nicholas Parkway is the Village District of Pine Island Road. It's a 32-acre commercial subdivision. Retailers include Kohl's Department store & Neighborhood Wal-Mart. Also soon to be included are Michael's (craft supply store), Office Depot, Applebee's & Dunkin Donuts.
Also, off of Pine Island Road is Coral Walk. It's a 36-acre site at the corner of Pine Island Rd & Pondella Road. This shopping center will be anchored with a Super Target.
Again, on Pine Island Rd. a Mel's Diner was recently opened. There is a retail center here as well with over 11,200 s.f of space available.
Also, further south, recently opened was a second Lowe's, near the corner of Santa Barbara Blvd & Veteran's Parkway. Just down the road a Home Depot was opened, at the corner of Skyline Blvd & Veteran's Memorial Parkway.
